
The Main areas of activity of the Miina Sillanpää Foundation stated in its Constitution are the following:
- medical and social rehabilitation and care
- organizing, developing and supporting care services for elderly people, especially in the field of housing and residential care
- research and experimental programmes to promote public health work, and publishing matters of significance arising from this
The Miina Sillanpää Foundation carries out these functions either as its own work or through the activities of subsidiaries within the organization.

- Development in and support for medical and social rehabilitation to advance public health services
- Planning, implementing and partly financing programmes of research and experimentation to improve the activities of our own organisations, and also publishing results obtained from this work
- Improving the operations in the field of care-, housing- and rehabilitation services for elderly people
- Distribution of scholarships to students of Rehabilitation and Elder-Care
- Research work related to the history of the Foundation and its organizations
